About Us

K9 For You .Inc is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that saves dogs from neglectful and dangerous living situations. We wholeheartedly believe that each living creature deserves a loving, safe and healthy home and we work our hardest to find a wonderful home for all our pets.

As a no-kill shelter, our policy is to never euthanize any healthy, adoptable dog. With their adorable faces and touching stories, each of these wonderful pets deserves a second chance!

The adoption fee covers the most basic costs that the dog incurred while at our shelter, but is only a small percentage of the food, shelter overhead, and medical treatment expenses. Thanks to generous donors and volunteers, we are able to place these great dogs in new homes.

We encourage any interested in our organization to get involved, click here for a list of ways to help.

Our Story

K9 For You Inc. is an organization that began in 2006 after Delcie Cullin discovered Rachelle Grande in Miami. Rachelle was in desperate need of help. She was taking care of 20 dogs by herself, and when Delcie, and her husband Thomas, met her, they were inspired to help and K9 For you Inc. was born after all the necessary paperwork was filed. As a small organization, we help 50 dogs.

Every dog deserves a loving home, and it is our sincerest wish that you may find your new best friend at our shelter. We pride ourselves on being able to find the best home for our beloved dogs, and so there is an application and interview requirement in which you meet the dog beforehand. After the adoption is complete, we do regular follow-ups to make sure that the best possible match was made.

This adoption process is applied in order to ensure the new owner’s happiness, but most important, the dog’s well-being. We hope to grow in the area, and help the thousands of dogs that are in dire need of a home. Only with your support, will we be able to do so.

"There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face."

"I talk to him when I'm lonesome like; and I'm sure he understands.  When he looks at me so attentively, and gently licks my hands; then he rubs his nose on my tailored clothes, but I never say naught thereat.  For the good Lord knows I can buy more clothes, but never a friend like that."
